[Use of the Miragel acrylate sponge in severe eye burns caused by lime]

One of complications of burns of the eye caused by lime are the conjunctival adhesions. Presented are 2 patients who were treated by strips of Miragel acrylate sponge implanted temporarily into the conjunctival sac. After 1 year of observation and removal of the implants the conjunctival sac showed to be free of adhesions with a free motility of the eye.
