Reconstruction of Signal using Interpolation01:10

Reconstruction of Signal using Interpolation

Signal processing techniques are essential for accurately converting continuous signals to digital formats and vice versa. When a continuous signal is sampled with a period T, the resulting sampled signal exhibits replicas of the original spectrum in the frequency domain, spaced at intervals equal to the sampling frequency. To handle this sampled signal, a zero-order hold method can be applied, which creates a piecewise constant signal by retaining each sample's value until the next sampling...

    Area of Science:

    • Optics and Photonics
    • Computational Imaging
    • Digital Holography

    Background:

    • Holographic reconstruction traditionally has limitations in altering viewing angles and focal lengths post-acquisition.
    • Numerical methods offer potential for advanced manipulation of holographic data but require robust algorithms.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To introduce a new numerical method for reconstructing objects from holograms within the Fresnel domain.
    • To enable the rendering of real images with adjustable focal lengths and variable viewing angles from holographic data.

    Main Methods:

    • Development of a numerical reconstruction algorithm operating in the Fresnel domain.
    • Implementation of techniques to manipulate image parameters (focal length, viewing angle) computationally.
