Summary

Higher fluoride levels in dental plaque significantly reduce cavities in children. Children with plaque fluoride between 21-30 ppm showed the lowest prevalence of dental caries.

    • Targeting plaque fluoride levels, potentially through water fluoridation or other interventions, can be an effective strategy for caries prevention in pediatric populations.
