[Mu-opioidergic immunomodulation: the neurochemical basis]
Abstract:
The review summarizes information from literature and results of autor's own investigation concerning the influence of the selective mu-opioid agonists (beta-endorphin, morphine, DAGO) on immune status. The neurochemical mechanisms of the interaction between the mu-opioidergic and neuromediator systems are discussing. The participation of the dopaminergic mechanisms in mu-opioid-induced changes of immunological reactivity is revealed also.
