Immunotherapy is a treatment that boosts or manipulates the immune system to fight diseases, including cancer. For instance, by stimulating an immune response through vaccinations against viruses that cause cancers, like hepatitis B virus and human papillomavirus, these diseases can be prevented.     Summary

    Immunotactoid glomerulonephritis is a rare kidney disease often presenting as nephrotic syndrome. Diagnosis relies on electron microscopy revealing characteristic parallel tubule deposits in immune complexes.

    Background:

    • Immunotactoid glomerulonephritis (ITG) is a rare renal disorder with unknown causes and mechanisms.
    • ITG commonly presents clinically with nephrotic syndrome.

    Observation:

    • Diagnosis is confirmed by electron microscopy, which shows unique deposits.
    • These deposits contain parallel-arranged tubules, approximately 30 nm in diameter.

    Findings:

    • Light microscopy and immunohistochemistry are not definitive for ITG diagnosis.
    • The characteristic finding is the presence of organized, tubule-like immune complex deposits.

    Implications:

    • Further research is needed to understand immune complex deposit formation in ITG.
