Maternal serum adiponectin multimers in gestational diabetes

Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is linked to altered adiponectin multimers, similar to Type 2 diabetes. These changes in low-molecular-weight (LMW), medium-molecular-weight (MMW), and high-molecular-weight (HMW) adiponectin may explain the connection between obesity and GDM.
