Abstract:
With the development of the fully-synthetic preparation (tetracosactide) the therapy with ACTH has again obtained importance. The application in internal medicine above all takes place in rheumatoid arthritis and in bronchial asthma. Advantages and disadvantages are described and the possibility of withdrawal of cortisone is especially emphasized.
