Lymph nodes are bean-shaped structures that cluster along the lymphatic vessels in the inguinal, axillary, and cervical regions. Each node is divided into compartments by a capsule that extends trabeculae inward.

  • Review of clinical presentation, diagnostic process, treatment, and follow-up data.
  • Main Results:

    • All 10 patients underwent surgical treatment after initial misdiagnosis.
    • Eight cases were localized CD (6 hyaline-vascular, 2 mixed type); two were multicentric CD (1 plasma cell, 1 mixed type).
    • Clinical presentation included painless neck lymphadenopathy; multicentric cases showed systemic symptoms/multi-organ damage. Long-term survival observed, with one recurrence managed successfully.

    Conclusions:

    • Neck Castleman's disease is rare and prone to misdiagnosis.
    • Histopathological analysis of lymph node biopsy is crucial for diagnosis.
    • Surgical intervention is the primary treatment for localized and uncomplicated multicentric CD.
