[Ureteroplasty for megaureter by ureteral plication: report of two cases]

We performed ureteroplasty for megaureter by ureteral plication with ease in two cases with unilateral megaureter due to uretero-vesical stenosis and obtained good results in each case. Because ureteral plication theoretically preserves lower ureteral blood supply and eliminates suture line leakage, this technique is thought to be superior to excisional tapering techniques in ureteroplasty for a megaureter.
