Summary

This case report details an incidental finding of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) infiltrating the prostate in an asymptomatic patient. This highlights the importance of imaging in detecting unexpected leukemic involvement.

Background:

  • Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) is a common hematologic malignancy.
  • Prostate involvement in hematologic tumors is rare, particularly in asymptomatic patients.

Observation:

  • A 60-year-old male with known CLL presented for routine CT.
  • CT revealed multiple lymphadenopathies and a hypodense lesion in the left prostatic lobe.
  • The patient was asymptomatic with no urinary complaints.

Findings:

  • Digital rectal examination revealed a hard, ill-defined prostate.
  • Transrectal ultrasound demonstrated heterogeneous parenchyma and hyperechoic areas.
  • Pathological analysis confirmed diffuse infiltration by CLL cells.
