Context:

Inflatable penile prosthesis (IPP) implantation is a treatment for erectile dysfunction.
Previous penile surgery and specific conditions like Peyronie's disease can impact outcomes.

Purpose:

To identify prognostic factors influencing immediate and long-term results of IPP implantation.
To analyze complication rates and functional outcomes based on patient history and implant type.

Summary:

A study of 118 IPPs in 96 patients revealed a 14.6% material migration rate and 16.7% revision for mechanical dysfunction.
Postoperative complications were significantly higher in patients with prior penile surgery (p=0.049) or associated procedures (p=0.0095).
Migration risk increased with postpriapism erectile dysfunction (p=0.00035), and mechanical dysfunction risk with Peyronie's disease.
