Soluble intercellular adhesion molecule-1 and E-selectin in patients with asthma exacerbation

Serum levels of soluble intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (sICAM-1) were elevated in asthma patients compared to healthy controls. However, most asthma patients had sICAM-1 and sE-selectin levels within the normal range, questioning their utility as standalone markers.
