Abstract:
A new demodulation scheme for nonlinear fiber-optic sensors that uses a synchronous sampling technique is proposed and demonstrated. By using this scheme in a fiber-optic magnetometer, a sensitivity of <4 x 10(-5) Oe of minimum detectable magnetic field has been obtained.
