Recombinant human thrombin: in surgical hemostasis.

Recombinant human thrombin (rhThrombin) is as effective as bovine thrombin (bThrombin) for surgical hemostasis. rhThrombin showed a lower incidence of antibody formation and good tolerability, making it a safe alternative for controlling bleeding during surgery.
