Summary

Hydatid disease, caused by Echinococcus tapeworms, rarely affects the brain. Early diagnosis and surgical removal of intraventricular hydatid cysts in children lead to excellent recovery.

  • A case of a large intraventricular hydatid cyst in a child is presented.

  • The child with an intraventricular hydatid cyst showed an excellent recovery post-surgery.
  • Surgical intervention offers a good prognosis, particularly in pediatric patients.
