  • A comprehensive literature search was conducted across major electronic databases (Medline, Lilacs, Cochrane Library) and the internet.
  • Retrieved articles were assessed using the CONSORT statement criteria and categorized by their level of scientific evidence.

  • Out of 1,589 initially identified references, only 19 met the inclusion criteria for the review.
  • All included studies were classified as having a low level of evidence, primarily consisting of expert opinions or case studies.
  • No robust scientific evidence was found to substantiate the use of personal FM systems for APD intervention.
