Summary

Increasing fish consumption, whether oily salmon or lean cod, did not alter key genotoxicity markers in the colon. This randomized controlled trial found no significant changes in fecal water genotoxicity or colonocyte DNA damage in participants consuming fish compared to dietary advice alone.
