Higher levels of di-(2-ethylhexyl)-phthalate (DEHP) and its metabolite mono-(2-ethylhexyl)-phthalate (MEHP) were found in boys with pubertal gynecomastia. These findings suggest DEHP may play a role in the development of this condition.
