Summary
Laparoscopic repair of paraduodenal hernia is a safe and feasible option for select patients. This minimally invasive approach is increasingly used for internal hernias and other causes of small bowel obstruction.

- An internal mesenteric vein injury (6.7%) and a recurrence (6.7%) were reported.

- Increasing surgeon comfort with laparoscopy will likely lead to wider adoption for internal hernias.
- Minimally invasive surgery offers a promising alternative for managing small bowel obstruction.
