The use of Delphi to identify current and future role perceptions for certified registered nurse anesthetists
14005th U.S. Army Hospital Aug (1000B), Houston, TX 77054-2025, USA.
Abstract:
The proposed objective of this study was to identify current and future role perceptions for certified registered nurse anesthetists (C.R.N.A.s). Five C.R.N.A.s and five anesthesiologists were selected to participate on a Delphi panel to identify these roles. A four-round Delphi exercise was carried out resulting in 26 current roles and 28 future roles being identified. The rounds did not suffer any mortality and moved toward consensus on all of the roles identified.
