Dehydroepiandrosterone to enhance physical performance: myth and reality

Dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) supplementation does not enhance physical performance in elderly individuals or male athletes. Its perceived ergogenic effects are largely unsubstantiated, despite its status as a prohibited substance by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).
