    Abstract:

    In a previous paper we derived the basic equations and the spatial and temporal modulation transfer functions (MTF) for a three-dimensional model of thin-film thermal imaging systems. Here we discuss the imaging of fixed and moving objects.

    There are two main infrared (IR) spectrophotometers: dispersive IR spectrometers and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectrometers. In a dispersive IR spectrometer, a beam of infrared radiation produced by a hot wire is divided into two parallel equal-intensity beams using mirrors.
