Abstract:
With complex medical technology readily available for life-sustaining situations, making critical healthcare decisions has never been more arduous. Individuals, families, and communities face difficult circumstances, while all-at-once attempting to make decisions that are ethically considered to be doing the right thing. What should the nurse do and how ought the nurse be with others during these moments of potentially divisive situations for families. This article begins a discussion of the ethical complexities for doing what is right in the midst of critical life events through the lens of the humanbecoming family model.
