Summary

The pattern electroretinogram (pattern ERG) shows diagnostic accuracy comparable to standard automated perimetry (SAP) and short-wavelength automated perimetry (SWAP) for glaucoma detection. While frequency-doubling technology (FDT) perimetry performed better, pattern ERG offers an objective alternative.
