Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the effectiveness of video-based sign language (SL) navigation aids in improving web search performance for Deaf Signers.
  • To compare the impact of spatial contiguity between text hyperlinks and SL videos on search efficiency.
  • To assess the influence of SL navigation aids on user disorientation during web searches.

  • Two experiments were conducted comparing different web navigation aid conditions.
