A novel bacterium, Novosphingobium soli sp. nov., was isolated from oil-contaminated soil. This yellow-pigmented, Gram-negative bacterium represents a new species within the Novosphingobium genus, identified through comprehensive genomic and chemotaxonomic analyses.
