Summary

This study shows that maximal oxygen uptake (VO2max) can be reliably predicted using a treadmill-based perceptually regulated exercise test (PRET) up to an RPE of 15 ("Hard"). This method offers a practical approach for assessing cardiorespiratory fitness.
