Abstract:
Eighteen cases of lung carcinoma with a small size were investigated clinicopathologically. In the results, the following findings have been confirmed. 1) In cases with pN1 (+) BVI (-) showed excellent prognoses. 2) In cases with pN2 (+) or BVI (+) showed very poor prognoses. Therefore, the adjuvant chemotherapy is needed pre- or postoperatively in patients who showed the mediastinal lymph nodes swelling on the chest X-ray, CT and/or mediastinoscopy.
