The improvement of sweet taste sensitivity with decrease in serum leptin levels during weight loss in obese females

During weight loss, obese women experienced decreased serum leptin levels and a reduced sweet taste threshold. Changes in leptin levels correlated with taste sensitivity, independent of a specific gene variant.
