Background:

The American Osteopathic Association (AOA) mandates Continuing Medical Education (CME) for its members.
The previous CME cycle ran from January 1, 2007, to December 31, 2009.
Physicians must meet specific credit hour requirements during each CME cycle.

Purpose of the Study:

To inform AOA members about the new CME cycle (January 1, 2010 - December 31, 2012).
To detail modifications in CME requirements for AOA-accredited Category 1 sponsors.
To outline new online CME opportunities and changes in specialty credit hour recording for osteopathic physicians.
