Summary

Partial volume correction (PVC) in positron emission tomography (PET) improves accuracy of standardized uptake value (SUV) without significantly impacting test-retest variability. Reconstruction-based PVC offers superior precision, while image-based methods provide practical alternatives for clinical use.
