  • 66 children (6-11 years) were tested using the Oldenburg sentence test in noise (OlSa) with and without an FM system.
  • Children were categorized into control (normal OlSa), group 2a (unremarkable re-test), and group 2b (abnormal re-test).
  • All children showed improved speech intelligibility with the FM system, with the most significant gains in group 2b (9.53 dB S/N).

  • FM systems are highly beneficial for improving speech understanding in children with auditory processing difficulties.
  • The findings support the integration of FM systems in the diagnosis and therapeutic management of children with CAPD.
