Comparison between constant and decreasing rest intervals: influence on maximal strength and hypertrophy.

Constant rest intervals (CIs) and decreasing rest intervals (DIs) in resistance training yield similar strength and hypertrophy gains over short periods. Both training protocols effectively increase muscle size and maximal strength in young men.

- Both CI and DI protocols can be utilized to achieve strength and hypertrophy adaptations in the short term.
