Abstract:
Iron fortification of food as one of the main strategies to control iron deficiency and to prevent iron deficiency anemia has been supported by more and more counties. The paper introduces the main achievements of the cost-benefit analysis studies in iron fortification food programs. Although the impact of the application of the cost-benefit of analysis is increasing, more studies are still needed before the method of the cost-benefit of analysis is widely applied to iron fortification food programs.
