[Gingival grafts: evaluation of recovering surfacic quantimetry by image analysis]

24 gingival recessions were treated with free gingival autografts. The root coverage was evaluated by a new method: surfacic quantimetry by image analysis. This present study compares the linear and surfacic results. After statistic study, the linear coverage was evaluated at 26.74% (+0,813 mm for an initial height of 3,040 mm) and the surfacic coverage at 19.10% (+1,223 mm2 for an initial surface of 6,400 mm2).
