Objective:
MRI is commonly used to evaluate the articular cartilage of the knee and hip joints in clinical practice. This article will discuss the advantages and limitations of currently available MRI techniques for evaluating articular cartilage.
Conclusion:
Because of its high spatial resolution, multiplanar capability, and excellent tissue contrast, MRI is the imaging technique of choice for evaluating the articular cartilage of the knee and hip joints.
