Ulcerative colitis is a chronic inflammatory condition primarily affecting the colon and rectum. The primary drugs used in the treatment of ulcerative colitis are aminosalicylates.   • These two types of lesions developed concurrently.
  • Cortical lesions did not appear to be a secondary consequence of renal papillary necrosis.

    • These findings suggest that analgesic-induced nephropathy may involve independent development of cortical lesions, separate from renal papillary necrosis.
