To describe the National Quality Forum (NQF) nurse scholar program's initiative to bridge the IOM core competency knowledge gap.
To outline a plan for accelerating nurses' learning in quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and informatics.

The NQF nurse scholar program focuses on applying learned skills to NQF nurse-sensitive measures.
