Preference for geometric patterns early in life as a risk factor for autism

Toddlers with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) show a strong preference for looking at geometric patterns, which may serve as an early indicator for risk. This visual fixation pattern can accurately identify infants and toddlers at risk for ASD.
