  • Echocardiography identified an intraluminal aortic mass causing obstruction and aortic dissection.
  • The mass led to right pulmonary artery compression and an aortopulmonary fistula.

  • Histopathology confirmed the aortic mass as a chondrosarcoma.
  • This represents the second reported case of canine aortic chondrosarcoma.
  • It is the first reported case of aortic dissection associated with an intraluminal aortic tumor in any species.

  • It underscores the importance of advanced imaging for diagnosing complex aortic pathologies.
