Optimal anatomic coverage for CT in staging lung cancer: lessons from PET-CT correlation

Extending computed tomography (CT) scans for non-small cell lung cancer staging from lung apices to caudal adrenal glands significantly improves accuracy. Coverage beyond the adrenal glands offers limited benefit for staging accuracy.
