Summary

Pediatric sialendoscopy under local anesthesia is feasible in children over 8 years old, offering a safe alternative to general anesthesia for recurrent parotid swellings. This approach improved social and school activities in most patients.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the feasibility and outcomes of pediatric sialendoscopy under local anesthesia.

Main Methods:

  • Sialendoscopy was performed on 9 children (age >8 years) with recurrent parotid swellings over 1.5 years.
