Four patients experienced delayed hypersensitivity reactions to Restylane(®) SubQ after facial volume augmentation. Hyaluronidase effectively resolved reactions, suggesting alternative non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid (NASHA) products may be suitable.

- Hyaluronidase treatment resulted in rapid and effective resolution of symptoms.
- Two patients required repeat hyaluronidase injections for complete resolution.
Implications:
- Restylane(®) SubQ may trigger delayed hypersensitivity reactions in susceptible individuals.
- Hyaluronidase is a safe and effective treatment for these reactions.
- Patients experiencing reactions to Restylane(®) SubQ may tolerate other NASHA products.
