Why are anopheline mosquitoes not present in the Seychelles?

Anopheline mosquitoes, vectors of malaria, are absent from the Seychelles. This study surveyed islands and found no evidence of these mosquitoes, likely due to environmental factors and lack of terrestrial mammals.
