[Working contacts and balance in complete dentures]

The objective of this work was to study the intercuspid contacts in articulation of full dentures, confectioned in full adjustable articulators, and the individual compensating curve. The conclusions were: all of the examined cases showed simultaneous bilateral contacts; the number of each side varied from one patient to another; the variation on the work side was of 7 of 13 points and on the balance side was of 1 to 6 points; the multiple works and balance contacts assure good conditions of stabilization, comfort and mastigatory efficiency.
