Abstract:
INTRODUCTIONThe most common reason for generating antibodies against a particular protein in Drosophila is to examine its pattern of endogenous expression during development. Thus, once an antiserum is shown to stain transfected cells, the next step is to try the antiserum on Drosophila tissues, usually embryos, imaginal discs, or ovaries. This article provides suggestions for optimization of antibody staining in Drosophila tissues.
