Lumican, a small leucine-rich proteoglycan, inhibits transforming growth factor beta 2 (TGF-β2) activity in human osteosarcoma cells. This regulates cell adhesion by modulating TGF-β2/Smad 2 signaling, integrin β1, and pFAK.
