[Flow cytometric cell cycle analysis of lymphocytes in patients with drug eruption]

DNA synthesis of lymphocytes was analyzed by flow cytometry in patients with drug eruption, eczema, viral eruption, and normal individuals. Lymphocytes were taken from the patients having fresh skin rash. In the patients with drug eruption, the percentages of lymphocytes in the G0G1 phase were lower and those in S + G2M phase were higher than the values in other groups, indicating the occurrence of blastogenic reaction. We considered that this method was helpful for diagnosis of drug eruption.
