Abstract:
Two cases of primary liver cell carcinoma simulating extra-hepatic biliary obstruction are presented. In order to avoid false diagnosis and preventable laparotomy, it is suggested that peritoneoscopy and target liver biopsy should be preferred to blind liver biopsy in the investigation of biliary obstruction.
