Background:

Observation:

  • A 7-year-old boy presented with significant right mandibular and facial swelling.
  • Radiographic and CT imaging revealed a large, 10 cm unilocular radiolucent lesion in the mandible, involving the ramus and angle, with an impacted tooth.
  • The lesion was surgically treated via enucleation and curettage.

Findings:

  • The surgical intervention for the voluminous AFO in the child yielded a positive outcome.
  • No recurrence of the ameloblastic fibro-odontoma was observed at the ten-month follow-up.
  • This case is exceptional due to the patient's young age and the tumor's large size.
